Near Disappearance

$475.00

Acrylic on panel, 12 × 12 in
From the series Near Disappearance (2025)

Near Disappearance marks the final phase of the structural series, where force has thinned to the point of uncertainty. Applied with highly diluted pigment and absorbed almost entirely during the act of painting, the remaining trace resists legibility. What persists is not form, but evidence of a moment that nearly failed to register.

The work exists in a narrow threshold between presence and absence. It does not resolve the preceding movements of load, drift, or compression, but allows them to dissipate without conclusion. In this way, Near Disappearance closes the series not with silence, but with attenuation—leaving tension intact.
