Point of Contact holds a single encounter between force and resistance. A white gesture moves across the black ground with urgency, its momentum partially absorbed, partially interrupted. What remains is not a complete form but a record of pressure, drag, and release—evidence of an action that could not be revised.
Hints of blue and a restrained yellow accent surface within the white mass, embedded rather than declared. They read as traces of prior movement or buried energy, never fully resolved. The black gesso remains active throughout, asserting itself as a field that resists occupation rather than a passive background.
This work belongs to the expressive abstract series, where decisions are made in real time and carried through without correction. The painting stops at the point where clarity would become explanation, preserving the tension of the moment itself.
