This painting was inspired by my walk through The Chutes Park at Fort Coulonge, Québec. The leafy ground cover, the rugged allure of jagged rocks, twisting vines, and the sun peeking through the openings in the tree canopy all captured my imagination. It's almost as if the trees were doing a dance with each other.
Location: this is located on the Coulonge River, near Fort Coulonge, Québec, in the Outaouais region (west of the Ottawa River and Pembroke, Ontario, Canada).
